How it works and Procedure to be followed

How it works

Our fees are typically based on a negotiated plea agreement on your behalf. This means we will work with the prosecutor to seek a favorable resolution to your case, often resulting in a reduction of the original charge or fine.

While no lo contendere pleas (not admitting guilt but not contesting the charge) are frequently utilized in traffic violation cases like speeding, the specific outcome will depend on the details of your case and the willingness of the prosecutor to negotiate. In many instances, we can achieve a reduction of the charge to a non-moving violation, such as a parking ticket, and a corresponding decrease in the fine.

Procedure to be followed

We accept citations for plea negotiations issued in the jurisdiction of the following courts in Clark County:

  • Las Vegas Municipal Court
  • Las Vegas Justice Court
  • Henderson Municipal Court
  • Henderson Justice Court
  • North Las Vegas Municipal Court
  • North Las Vegas Justice Court
  • Boulder City Municipal Court
  • Boulder City Justice Court
  • Laughlin Justice Court
  • Goodsprings Justice Court
  • Searchlight Justice Court
  • Moapa Justice Court
  • Moapa Valley Justice Court

Client Intake and Fee Payment:

To initiate legal representation for your traffic citation case, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit Ticket Information: Provide details of your ticket through our online form.
  2. Retainer Fee: Upon submission, pay the required retainer fee electronically using a debit or credit card. Alternatively, you may visit our office for payment in cash, debit, or credit card.

Please note: We require an upfront retainer to commence legal services for your case.

Legal Fees:

The listed fees apply to cases with one to three minor violations under a single case number, excluding DUI, reckless driving, and other serious offenses not in warrant status. These fees cover our legal services only. Court fines and fees are payable directly to the court.

Mandatory Court Appearances:

If your ticket indicates a "mandatory court appearance," legal fees may be higher. However, we frequently encounter cases marked as mandatory even when they are not. We will review the details and confirm the true nature of your case, and inform you accordingly.

Additional Considerations:

  • Fees may be higher for tickets outside of Clark County or issued by Federal Law Enforcement.
  • We cannot accept cases filed in tribal courts or outside Nevada.
  • For DUI, reckless driving, serious offenses, multiple violations, warrant cases, different jurisdictions, or if no payment option appears, please contact us directly for a case evaluation and fee quote.

Contact Information:

Please ensure accurate and up-to-date contact information, including name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. Update us promptly if any details change.

Client Responsibilities:

Providing requested documents, such as driver's license, proof of insurance, or vehicle registration, is essential for effective representation. Failure to provide these may limit our ability to secure the best possible outcome.

Traffic School:

Unless instructed otherwise, we prioritize options that avoid traffic school, even if they involve higher fines. However, traffic school may be mandatory in certain cases.

Client Portal and Case Communication:

Upon submitting your case information online, you'll create a secure user account. Access your case profile using the citation number and password provided during registration. All case updates and communications will be posted there.

Regularly Checking Your Case Profile:

It's your responsibility to regularly check your case profile for status updates. We'll notify you via email when your case status changes, but please remember:

  • Email delivery can be affected by spam filters or technical issues.
  • Relying solely on email notifications may delay your awareness of case updates.

Therefore, we strongly recommend regularly logging into your online account to check your case status.

Case Completion and Court Payments:

Once negotiations conclude, we'll post the outcome on your profile, including any court fees, fines, and violation amendments. Failure to pay these obligations may result in a warrant for your arrest and negate the negotiated outcome, potentially leading to the original charge on your record.

Fees and Case Acceptance:

Our legal fees are earned upon payment. We reserve the right to reject any case at our discretion.

Case Acceptance Confirmation:

Within two business days of submitting your case, you'll receive confirmation of acceptance on your profile. If you haven't received confirmation after two business days, please consider your case rejected.

Communication and Updates:

We prioritize keeping you informed. However, if you haven't heard from us in two weeks and require an update, feel free to contact us via phone or email.

Important Disclaimer:

Please understand that we cannot guarantee any specific case outcome.
